Summer Lovin!

This past week has been super busy and so much fun! I was able to go to Salt Lake with my mom and stay overnight to watch my little sister, Taylie perform at cheer camp! I STILL can’t believe that she is old enough to be a Bear River Cheerleader. The girls did a great job and represented Bear River well! Being at cheer camp brought back many memories of when I was at that same camp a few years ago. I was also able to see some of my very best friends that I cheered with in high school! Kellee, Kylie, and Tayler were also there to watch their sisters, and it was fun to see them again! Being at cheer camp to watch made me realize that I don't miss it all that much! It is such a tough week of being hot, tired, sore, without sleep, a fried brain,and having to be WAY too peppy! I do miss the fun times I had with all of the girls on the team but it was fun to sit back and watch! It is crazy to think that by tomorrow, every cheerleader my age that I graduated with will now be married! Time flies! I’m so glad I was able to go watch and support my darling little sister! Go Taylie Go!

I also had such a great time this past week being able to go and watch Miss Utah on Wednesday and Saturday. It was so much fun to be able to hand my crown down to my cute cousin, Ashley Funk. She did such a great job at Miss Utah and had a great time with many memories made. On Wednesday she competed in evening gown and on-stage question. She looked stunning and answered very well! I wasn’t able to be there on Thursday when she did her talent, or Friday when she did swimsuit, but heard she rocked them both! On Saturday, they announced the top ten and they competed until we had a new Miss Utah (Danica Olsen.) Miss America was also in attendance and it was really neat to see her in person! She is so well-spoken and just a down to earth girl! I had a blast watching the pageant because I knew many of the girls competing this year. Out of all the friends I made last year that competed at Miss Utah, five of them were in the top 10! It was a blast to see them again since it had been an entire  year, and every girl did wonderfully! It was bitter-sweet watching them perform on the stage as I missed the performance aspect of pageants, but absolutely did not miss all of the nerves that I had last year! I am so proud of my cousin and the year she has had! She will get to pass down her crown in August and I know her near future holds many exciting adventures!

On Monday, Taylie and I were able to go to the Logan pool with my cute cousins from North Dakota, Cierra and Camron! It was SO good to see them and we had a ball! Playing with kids at a swimming pool is much better than just laying out. Seeing so many cute moms with their little kids made me excited to be able to take my own kids to the pool one day! I do have one pieceof advice for anyone going to the pool though; When in doubt, ALWAYS wear sunscreen! :)
