Summer Perspective

The first of my Summer hasn’t been exactly as I had planned! I am working part-time (20 hours) up at Utah State University. It is SUPER slow during the Summer and the time drags on to say the least. I have applied for probably 10 jobs and had a couple of interviews with no luck. I felt that as soon as anyone heard that I was a student and would be going back to school in August they wanted someone with a better schedule. I thought Logan would be booming with jobs the second that all of the college students left for the Summer, but I have come to a conclusion… hardly any of the college students left!! After trying and looking for weeks for jobs, I was SO discouraged. I am grateful that I still have at least 20 hours a week but I wish I had somewhere to be in the morning at a certain time to get me motivated! (Yes, I’m complaining about being able to sleep in! I’m crazy.) Although I am still discouraged about not being able to find a better Summer job, I was thinking of a few FUN things I have to look forward to this Summer!
·         Lake Powell
·         Stadium of Fire
·         Watching my cute cousin at Miss Utah
·         ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY
·         Friends Weddings
·         Boating
·         Going up to the canyon for fires
·         Swimming
·         Tanning
·         Barbeques
·         Picnics
·         Family Reunions
·         Concerts
·         Birthdays
Let’s just say I love having things to look forward to! A few of these Summer days might be long (I need to find myself a hobby!) But I think this Summer might be one of the best with all of the fun things that are ahead! I am also SO grateful for a wonderful hubby who has a great job- he works so hard for us! All that it took is for me to change my perspective from being discouraged and disappointed, to being grateful I have something and grateful to have so many fun things to look forward to!
