Seattle in an afternoon...

Where Ryan's uncle owns REAL Salt Lake, he usually fly's to their away games in his private jet, and this time we were invited! We left at 10:00 in the morning for Seattle, Washington, and got home that night at 2:00 in the morning! It was a blast. Who just goes to Seattle and back in a day? I felt pretty special. Once we got to Seattle, Ryan couldn't wait to show me his favorite places since he has been there before and I was a first-timer! We had an afternoon to see all that we could, and I would say that we did a pretty dang good job! We first started out by wandering around the Pike Place Market! It was so neat to see! (and fishy to smell!) Then, because I was starving, we had Lunch at Ivars! It was right on the water and so delicious
.

After lunch, we went to the Seattle Aquarium. It was pretty  neat. We touched all of the star fish and plants, watched a ton of jelly fish and sea otters, and my favorite part was watching the octopus! Seriously, cartoons do a terrible job at reflecting what they really look like. :) I am quite a girl however, and punched Ryan in the nose one time after touching a plant because it scared me and I flinched back so fast! They were the kind where they gravitate to where you touched it, and I thought it was going to eat my finger!

After the Aquarium, we wandered around the marketplace again for awhile and got some hot chocolate to warm up! Being in Seattle, I felt like a complete tourist. It was so different than any place I had visited. I would have loved to have spent more time there to really explore. Next, we jumped in our car and went to the Space Needle! I really didn't want to spend $20 a person to go all the way to the top, but we were in Seattle and that doesn't happen every day so we went! It was really neat to see all of Seattle and be up so high.

Next stop, the big game! It was pouring rain by this time which it does every day in Seattle, but  I was SO glad we were able to watch the game in a suite and not in the stands. It was cold!! Once we got up into our suite, we changed into our REAL jerseys and got quite the stares from the fans in the suites next to us. This game was part of a two game series with Seattle. When we played them in SLC we won 3-0 and where they were combining the two games all we had to do was not let them win by more than 3-0 to be able to advance in the playoffs. Where Seattle has some of the craziest fans and biggest stadium, we were nervous. It was a different atmosphere watching the game in the same suite as the REAL owner, president and GM. They have a lot on the line in these games! Right before the game started the injured players who were not playing came into our suite to watch the game with us. I was so excited to meet them, I felt like I was meeting movie stars since I had watched them for so long. Although we wish they could have been on the field to help us during this game, it was fun to meet them. The game was so intense and Seattle luckily only won 2-0 so we still were able to move on.

Us and Nat Borchers!

I didn't get a picture with Olave, but that's him in the corner! haha

After the game we drove back to our plane and headed home back to Logan! It was nice to be able to fly into Logan and not have to drive from Salt Lake. It was such a neat experience and one that won't happen very often! I'm grateful Ry's uncle Dell Loy is so generous to us and keeps us involved in some of the fun things he gets to be apart of! He is letting us live in a side apartment at his house in Logan right now rent-free because he is not there very often and likes someone to watch after it. He is so giving and we appreciate him a lot!
