Our buddy is already a month old! I can't even believe it! Before I catch up with my blogging and post about his birth story and graduation, I thought I'd at least start here (since it's the shortest!)
Just a few things to remember about Camden's first month!
We were soo happy to come home from the hospital! As soon as the NICU told us we were cleared to leave at 10:00 PM on Wednesday night, we took the opportunity! We both weren't getting any sleep at the hospital and couldn't wait to come to our own bed (even if I didn't use it much :)) My awesome mom stayed with us for a few days to help and were we SO grateful. She rocked him in the night to get him back to sleep, watched him so I could get a few naps in during the day, grocery shopped, cooked, cleaned, and did so much more! I seriously wanted her to move in forever!
Camden did pretty good with his sleep schedule from the beginning! He just wanted to eat a lot! He went from eating every two hours the first week or so and then gradually moved into three hours which made a big difference! Now at a month old, he occasionally does four hour stretches in the night and even has done a five hour stretch twice! One being last night (today is a good day!) Camden slept in his bassinet for the first couple weeks and wasn't sleeping great. He would grunt and make a lot of noises which meant neither of us were sleeping at all. During the day I started laying him in his crib for naps, and he slept so soundly. Soon when I would lay him in his bassinet he would begin to cry and then I would lay him in his crib and he would fall sound asleep! I guess he didn't like the feeling of being closed in. I think him being such a big boy definitely made a difference since he didn't have much room in there. :) So at 3 weeks (CRAZY) he moved into his crib and we were all much happier! I didn't sleep at all the first night he was in there because I was scared to death.
One month updates!
He SMILES and coo's a lot! It melts our hearts every time!
For the most part, he loves his swing which also makes it so I can get a few things done during the day!
I finally got brave enough to take him to the mall alone and he did great.
He is already wearing 3 month or sometimes 3-6 month clothing! He only wore his newborn clothes a couple of times!
Size 1 diapers
He is a binky lover (thank goodness!!)
He grunts all the time!
He is very regular (TMI?) lots of blow outs :) Yay for me!
He's had a few tummy issues for about a week, but I think they are finally sorting out on their own!
When he wakes up, he stretches and grunts for about 30 minutes before he is finally awake haha
He is focusing on faces quite well!
At his last dr appt (2 weeks) he was over the 90th percentile in all areas! chubba bubba!
And finally, we love him more than we ever thought possible!! Even with the never-ending laundry!
