So, I haven't been a great blogger but I promise to continue to try! It's been a crazy past few weeks with finally finishing up spring semester! Yay for no classes until August! Ryan is taking a statistics class this summer and so he will still stay busy with that. Right before finals week and over Easter weekend, we took off to St. George with my family for a much-needed break. We stayed at my brother Ty's house in St. George for a few nights and stayed at the Casa Blanca in Mesquite, Nevada the last night. We had such a great time! We went shopping, to movies (which by the way, Water for Elephants is SO good!), went out to eat, layed out by the pool (got terribly sunburned, but I was okay with it because it meant there was SUN), and (shhhhhhhh) even played a little roulette! ;)
Outlet shopping!

Tan Lines!
Last weekend we went to the Real game in Salt Lake. I was so glad it was during the day and it was HOT! I was in heaven. I rolled my capris up and loved catching some rays. We even got a little sunburn. Real won 1-0 which was great but lost one of their great players Javier Morales to a broken ankle which was not fun to watch.
After the game we went and looked at some motorcycles (Ryan is really wanting one) and then went mother's day shopping! That night we stayed in Kamas at Ryan's parents beautiful home. We spent the day there with his family and had a great time. I love being able to spend time with them and especially our cute and adorable nieces and nephews! The families are growing quick and it gets quite hectic- but it's so much fun! We had a wonderful dinner and Ryan even gave me a mother's day gift. :) He spoils me. Ryan's parents showed us their pictures from their Israel trip which was so neat. On our way home we stopped by my house in Tremonton to wish my momma a happy mother's day!
Mother's day is such a wonderful day to stop and think of how grateful we are for our moms in our lives. I have no idea where I would be today without my mom. My mom is that one girlfriend who will never leave. The one I call when I have no idea what to make for dinner or how to make it. The one I complain to when I have a bad hair day or don't have a clue what to wear. She is my lifelong hairdresser. :) She is the one who told me I was beautiful when I wasn't so sure. She has supported me endlessly and always with a gracious heart. She taught me the values that I have today and always told me to be a good friend. She was the one I called when I was excited, nervous, or sad. She has stood by my side and always pushed me forward. She is the one who drove me to dance practices, and who practiced diligently with me. She is my loving, wonderful mom and friend.
I am also SO grateful for my new mother-in-law. I married quite the guy and I know he is who he is because he was raised by such wonderful parents. My mother-in-law is a woman of great faith. She is such an example of living the gospel perfectly and always strives to help us live better. I am grateful for her example and accpetance of me into their wonderful family!
I'm not sure when I will celebrate mother's day as a mother, but I so look forward to that day. After leaving Ryan's house and watching his sisters with their kids, it made me tired and excited. Moms truly are the {superwomen} of the world. I have so many great moms to watch so hopefully when it is my turn, I can do the best that I know how.
This weekend I'm looking forward to going on a [girl's retreat] to Bear Lake with Ryan's sisters, mom, and grandma! Stories and pictures will come soon...

Tawnie, I love to look at your blog and see all of your cute pictures. You do have an awesome mom. I love having her in our family as well. Keep up the blogging. Darlene
