Can you believe it is the middle of JULY?! Seriously, time is going by tooooo dang fast. [School] starts in 6 short weeks and my life will be a whirlwind for the next 3 months, so we are no longer going to say that naughty word on my blog until we absolutely HAVE to! :) Deal? Deal.
We had such a great 4th of July, and it was much different than the past. On the 3rd we watched the fireworks in Logan with Ryan's family, and that was so much fun. We had pizza, and homemade ice cream. We also played frisbee and lit sparklers while waiting for them to begin! When it was time for fireworks, my little niece Emma curled up on my lap and said "I'm cozy" and stayed there for most of the time. My family has gone to Stadium of Fire for as long as I can remember on the 4th. Taylie and I were either dancing in it, or we didn't know what else to do, so we always bought tickets. This year Tyler and Stephanie couldn't come up since it was on a week day, Trent is out selling for the Summer, and we weren't thrilled about spending lots of money on tickets to watch the Beach Boys. Luckily, we had a great alternative! Real Salt Lake was playing and was also having fireworks after the game. We had a lot of Ryan's family there and also my family, and so we had the best of both worlds!

Before the game, we drove to Salt Lake with my family and went to see the Spiderman movie at the Gateway. I LOVE that you can reserve your tickets and show up at showtime. After doing it this way, any other way seems ridiculous. We all really enjoyed the movie and it was better than I thought! After the movie, we went to eat at PF Changs (a personal favorite of mine, plus they have a great GF menu!) We then were on our way to the game! Sadly the game ended in a tie, but was still entertaining to watch. Then the fireworks started and I was impressed!! We didn't have time to make it down on the field before they started so they were shooting directly over us. While our necks were strained, it was crazy (dangerous?) to be right underneath them! It was so loud, bright, and exciting! I was a happy girl to be surrounded by family and a great hubby on the 4th, it doesn't get much better than that!
